Andrej Bošnjak

I study aerospace engineering at TU Delft. I build software and hardware projects around controls, signal processing, trading, data pipelines, and student tools.

About

I am based in Delft and currently studying aerospace engineering. In August 2026 I am joining Montana Aerospace as an engineering intern.

In September 2026 I am joining AeroDelft as an electronics engineer on the Sling 4 hydrogen retrofit, working on high and low power electronics and aircraft control management.

Projects

  1. lidar_tracking_gimbal

    2026-

ToF-based tracking system with closed-loop PID control. Implements Kalman filtering and accelerometer-based state prediction to handle sensor latency during dynamic target following.

  2. imc_prosperity_4

    2026

Placed 9th out of 500+ teams nationally in IMC Prosperity 4 qualifiers, 7th in the finals. Multi-instrument trading system with Kalman/EMA fair-value estimation, implied-vol smile fitting, and cross-product arbitrage.

  3. hackdelft_lumen

    2026

Privacy-first financial intelligence platform for bank statement exports, with ingestion, deduplication, analytics, subscription detection, AI-assisted querying, and PDF reporting. ML categorisation pipeline using e5-large embeddings and a dense neural classifier; 95.7% top-1 accuracy on real data.

  4. delft_dibs

    2026-

Co-founded a housing platform for Delft's competitive student rental market. Scrapes and normalises listings from 11 rental sites through a FastAPI/PostgreSQL backend. Core feature is an OLS relative-value model assigning a live deal score to each listing.

  5. audio_spectrogram_visualizer

    2026

Real-time frequency-domain analysis pipeline in Python. FFT with windowing, streaming updates from live microphone input, WAV file support, and MP4/GIF export.

  6. lectra

    2026-

Open-source course intelligence platform for TU Delft bachelor students. Browse a programme's full curriculum as a structured grid and drill into each course for aggregated grades, workload estimates, and peer-written reviews.

  7. bitcoin_pow_simulation

    2024-25

Stochastic model of Bitcoin's proof-of-work mechanism: mining difficulty adjustment, hash rate dynamics, and reward distribution under varying network participation.
